About
Originally from Morocco, but well established in Montreal since his teens, Benny Adam took his first steps into the world of hip-hop production when he was just 16 years old. A few years later, in 2015, the self-taught Casablanca-born artist co-produced the Niro album for Capitol Music France, earning his first gold disc.
It was then that the urge to sing took him by surprise, and here he was, landing between 2019 and 2021 with the Barquetteries trilogy. The response was instantaneous. In 2022, he collaborated with Zach Zoya on the hit “Start Over”, then with Amel Bent on “Lossa”, returning in 2023 with a brand new solo project, starting with the hit “Pigalle” and its immersive video. In 2024, the tracks “Travolta” and “Tit'souite (feat. Nayra)” mark the introduction of a new musical universe based on an unusual genre called Draï, which mixes English drill, Algerian raï and Moroccan chaabi.
His new collaboration with Khadija El Wazazia, “Mok ya mok”, and its extended version, go viral in the spring of 2025. Number 1 on Shazam in Morocco, the track climbed the viral charts in Morocco and France, racking up over a million listens and generating more than 150 million views on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
