About

Originally from Morocco, but well established in Montreal since his teenage years, Benny Adam took his first steps into the world of hip-hop production when he was 16 years old. A few years later, in 2015, the self-taught artist from Casablanca co-produced Niro's album for Capitol Music France and obtained his first gold record. He also contributed to the success of Zaho and Tessa B.

Benny then works with La Zarra, a Canadian-Moroccan artist who is enjoying huge success in France. It is then that the desire to sing takes him by surprise and here he is, in 2019, with a first solo EP entitled La Barquetterie. Upon the release of Barquetterie, in which several artists contributed including Rymz, Nayra, David Lee, Obia Le Chef, Tizzo and MB to name a few, the response was instantaneous: in a few months, the single "Fais ton shift" accumulated more than 1.2 million views on YouTube and Benny then counts hundreds of thousands of streams on listening platforms.

Already well established in the Quebec musical landscape as a pop and hip-hop producer, Benny Adam then sharpens his solo sound signature with La Barquetterie SS2 released in May 2020. He offers us a tasty mix of urban pop infused with Moroccan raï, Caribbean sounds and hip-hop on an Afrobeat background.  His latest EP concludes the Barquetterie trilogy with a "mixture of musical genres that is typical of them: coherence in a perfect incoherence", all sprinkled with some distinguished guests including Small X, Imposs and La Zarra.

In 2022, he collaborates with Zach Zoya for the hit "Start Over", which gains more than 11 million listens, then with Amel Bent for "Lossa" with more than 13 million listens.

He is back in 2023 with a brand new solo project, starting with the hit single " Pigalle ".
