New single from Lucill: Le calme

Montreal, January 28, 2022 - After Lucill's much appreciated comeback with his song "Baisser les yeux" last November, he returns with "Le calme", a very special track that will be the last one before the unveiling of his new album "Snake eyes" on February 25th.

In his new single, themes of emptiness, cold storms and loneliness are explored over a 90's hip hop style drum beat that supports the textured lines of organs, synths, piano and classical guitar. The multiple effects used create a soft universe implying a certain chaos. "Le calme" evokes an awareness of the distress that can be felt when one is alone for too long.

Recorded for the most part at Pierre Marchand studio in Montreal, Lucill wrote the lyrics and music, then revealed himself in the role of a true conductor alongside co-director Francis Mineau on drums, percussion and synthesizers (Malajube), Jason Kent on piano and organ (The Dears, Kandle), Nicolas Gaudreault on synthesizers and Jay Essiambre for the backing vocals (Elisapie, La Faune).
